Crafting Madness …

Since I last updated the craft blog I have been doing loads.

Issue 9 on Lets Make Cards is now out and it features some of the projects that did using the kit. I am really pleased with the cards; they look fantastic after being photographed by a professional. Why don’t the pictures I take look like that? LOL. Hope you guys are going to buy a copy, if you do, don’t forget to leave me a comment, would love to know what you think. I have now designed some projects for issue 11 too, that issue should be out in November, so don’t forget to buy it :-D

I recently went over to Peterborough. Donna, the editor of the Create & Craft Online Magazine, asked me for further projects to be featured in the next couple of issues. I love going over there. The guys are so friendly and Hugh, the camera man is great. He is so good at putting me at my ease and together we manage to establish the best way to tackle each project for filming. I am still a newbie and really appreciate Hugh’s help.
THANK YOU HUGH !!

The date for workshop I am teaching at Stamp Addicts is getting closer. It’s on the 27th Oct 07. You can still sign up to it !! :-) If you want to all you need to do is go to the Stamp Addicts website or call them. The link is under the Crafting Links.
If I don’t see you there I will let you know how it goes ;-)

The Coleman’s workshops are all going really well. I had a class of 16 yesterday. OMG, that was a challenge, but so much fun. I surprised myself by getting around to everyone at the different stages of the workshop. It was a ladies only class, come on you crafting men, I know you’re out there!!
Well, all the ladies seemed very happy as they left and seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Some of them also mentioned that they would be making more cards like the ones we had made in the workshop. Hopefully a success :-)

Well, I think that’s it for now, til next time,
Happy Crafting guys,

I can’t believe how busy I am. I have deadlines coming out of my ears !! But, its so much fun, I’m loving it :-D

I have just managed to put together some furniture, FINALLY, to stock all my ever growing craft supplies. I swear I could set up a shop in that room, LOL. But, then again, I expect we crafters all feel like that, but I am serious, I really could LOL.

I have a living room and hall way full of craft stuff because there wasn’t enough room to build the flat pack THING so I had to empty the room. Well, at least it’s built now and I can start to organise myself properly …

I should be preparing for my workshop at Coleman’s (based in Rushden). I will be teaching a waterfall cards one next and then I am booked for at least one workshop a fortnight teaching various other crafty bits. I’m so looking forward to it. :-D

I am also filming 3 projects for the Create & Craft Online Magazine at the end of the week so I really need to sort that stuff out. Finally, I’ll be able to find a stamp and some ink that I knew I had, but couldn’t remember which bag or box they were in, when infact they weren’t even in the room I was looking in LOL

I recently got together with Sarah and Vicky from Stamp Addicts and they have asked me to teach a workshop at their place, end of October. I will be making exploding boxes, which have become so popular recently. They are fantastic because you can raid the scraps box and use up all the little favourites that you just couldn’t throw away. These boxes can be used in place of a greeting card for a special person or if using photographs they are great little keepsakes of a special memory for the scrapbookers amongst us. I have made both types and let me tell you, they are so well received.
I think they will be putting pictures of the samples I made on their website soon.

I hope you guys managed to get a copy of the Lets Make Cards Magazine, issue 7. If you did you will have seen my exploding box project. Since then, I have submitted another 6 projects for issue 9 and am in the process of making up more for issue 11, so watch this space :-)

Think that’s about it for now. Hope you’re enjoying reading these blogs. I will try to put up some pictures of recent projects soon, I promise.
I think I better get back to my craft room and try to sort stuff out. I am planning on drinking loads of coffee and staying up all night until it’s done, I’ll let you know if that is in fact what happened or if my husband woke up at 5am and found me asleep in amongst all the papers LOL.

Til later,
Happy Crafting and Stay Lucky ;-)

Since then …

Hi guys

Hope you managed to get a copy of the “Lets Make Cards” magazine, I couldn’t believe it when I saw my picture on the cover LOL – made me laugh soo much :-D

Well, since then, I have been to Las Vegas, cashed in a few poker tournaments, socialized and networked :-)
My head is in a spin right now but it’s all good ….

I can tell you that I am going to be taking workshops for 2 different companies.
I am submitting projects to “Let’s Make Cards” for issue 9 and I am liaising with more craft contacts, so watch this space :-)

Will update as soon as anything new happens, til then Happy Crafting Guys

Hey Guys,

Just thought I would update you that my project in Let’s Make Cards is due out beginning of July ‘07 :-)
OMG, I can’t believe this, but my project is on the front cover. I am so chuffed about this.

I spoke to Sarah (the Editor) and she gave me the news last week. I still cannot believe it and can’t wait to see the magazine. Only thing is, I won’t be in the country when it comes out :-(

As you know, if you read the Poker blog, I am in Vegas, hopefully winning at the poker LOL

I will definitely get my friends and family to all buy a copy for me, just in case someone forgets to get one LOL.

To top that, I have been asked to submit some more projects to the magazine for issue 9, so watch this space :-)

Anyway, will update the blog again soon, take care guys.
Happy Crafting and
Stay Lucky

Just thought I would update you guys on what’s been happening recently. I have been so busy and haven’t had much time at all. But, you know that I love it :-D

I have just submitted a project to the “Lets Make Cards” magazine, which should be in the July issue, please take a look and let me know what you think, I hope it will inspire you…
I spoke to the Editor, Sarah Neal, who is the nicest person; I look forward to meeting her soon, hopefully :-D

I have also been working with Stamp Addicts who are located in Kempston, Bedford. Sarah and Vicky are about to film 2 shows, which are to be aired soon on Create & Craft Channel (661 on Sky). Look out for the sample cards I have put together for these shows.

Please send me your comments if you like them, even if you don’t it would be good to know what you didn’t like.

Sarah and Vicky run Stamp Addicts, a family owned business from Kemspton. As the name suggests, there are a lot of stamps in the shop!!
If its too far to go, they have an online catalogue and do mail order. You can find the link on the this website, it’s definitely worth a look :-D

Anyway, that’s all for now, will let you know how other projects are going soon :-)

Happy Crafting guys and Stay Lucky
